Mark W. Roark, O.D. Dr. Roark graduated with high honors from Indiana University with a Doctorate in Optometry. He is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease by the International Association of Boards of Examiners in Optometry and is a member of the American and Indiana Optometric Associations. Dr. Roark is also certified by the FDA to provide Corneal Refractive Therapy for nearsightedness.
Dr. Roark enjoys providing Optometric services for patients of all ages. He has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing eye disease including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and dry eye syndrome. He also has a special interest in working with children to uncover and then treat eye coordination problems that may interfere with learning.
Dr. Roark has been involved in providing mobile eye care services to the poor in several countries (Bolivia, Honduras, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominica) since 1991. He is married with three children.
Angi Roberts, AOT Angi has worked with Dr. Roark since 1996 and has experience in all aspects of the office operation . She has completed all three sections of a rigorous educational program through the IU School of Optometry and is now an Associate Optometric Technician.
Angi functions as our insurance specialist, but especially enjoys the medical aspects of eye care. She is also skilled in helping patients in the frame dispensary, the contact lens center, and in explaining laser vision correction which she had several years ago. Angi is married with two children.
Joanna Nix, AOT Joanna enjoys working with patients of all ages. She is skilled in performing special tests as well as assisting patients with fashion eyewear selection and dispensing. Joanna has taken a special paraoptometric course through Indiana University to become an Optometric Advanced Assistant and holds a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Indiana University.
Dustie Condon, ABOC Dustie is the newest member of our team and manages the frame room. She brings extensive knowledge and skill in fashion eyewear selection and can answer any questions about your eyewear needs.
Cynthia Solorzano, Optometric Assistant Cynthia is part-time in our practice and a full-time student at Indiana University (IU), being enrolled in a pre-optometry curriculum there. She provides assistance to patients in various ways, and is fluent in English, Spanish, and French. Cynthia is able to assist where needed in the office.
Carla Beasley, Optometric Assistant Carla has experience both as an Optometric Assistant and as a specialist in Pre- and Post-LASIK education for patients that may be considering refractive surgery alternatives. Carla enjoys pretesting patients and helping with specific medical challenges such as testing patients who have glaucoma. She is always ready to help where needed.
Anita Roark, OA Anita has worked in various capacities in the office over several years. She enjoys working at the front desk, but is also able to prepare patients to see the Doctor. She especially enjoys fashion eyewear selection.
Cassie Radabaugh, Optometric Assistant Cassie works part-time at the front desk. She is enthusiastic in her duties and always dedicated to making the patient experience as enjoyable as possible.
