Mark W. Roark, OD

Dr. Roark graduated with high honors from Indiana University with a Doctorate in Optometry.  He is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease by the International Association of Boards of Examiners in Optometry and is a member of the American and Indiana Optometric Associations. Dr. Roark is also certified by the FDA to provide Corneal Refractive Therapy for nearsightedness.

Dr. Roark enjoys providing Optometric services for patients of all ages.  He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of eye disease including Diabetic Retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, Macular Degeneration, and Dry Eye Syndrome. He also has a special interest in working with children to detect and treat eye coordination problems that may interfere with learning.

Since 1991, Dr. Roark has been involved in providing mobile eye care services to the poor in several countries, including Bolivia, Honduras, Jamaica, Haiti, and Dominica.  Additionally, Dr. Roark is proud to provide eye care services to the nursing home residents of Marquette Manor of Indianapolis, as he has done for over ten years.

Angi Roberts, AOT, NCLC

Angi has worked with Dr. Roark since 1996 and has experience in all aspects of the office's operations. She has completed all three sections of a rigorous educational program through the IU School of Optometry and is now an Associate Optometric Technician.  Angi also earned her NCLC (National Contact Lens Examiner's) certification in 2012.

Angi functions as our insurance and accounts receivable specialist, but especially enjoys the medical aspects of eye care. She also is skilled in helping patients in the frame dispensary and the contact lens center.  In addition, as a former laser vision correction patient, she enjoys sharing her experience with and knowledge of this popular alternative correction method.  Angi is married with two children.

Cassie Radabaugh, CPOA

Cassie is certified through the American Optometric Association and holds the Certified Paraoptometric Assistant title (CPOA).   Cassie's responsibilities include attending to many functions of the AECC business, though she enjoys offering medical care to patients who need an annual exam or special attention for medical concerns and vision correction.  As a Purdue graduate and former high school teacher, she inevitably educates our patients on their eyes as they receive care!  Her special interests include optometric research writing and working with children, teens, and elderly or special needs patients.  After hours, Cassie is occupied with her two energetic children!

Emily Musselman, Optometric Assistant

Emily is also a 2011 addition to our staff.  You can find her at the front desk and in our Optique.  A recent graduate of University of Indianapolis, her professionalism and attention to detail has improved the efficiency of our practice.  As her interest and knowledge grow in optics, you'll want her to assist you with your glasses order!

Carla Beasley, Optometric Assistant

Carla has several years of experience as an optometric assistant.  For those patients who may have some questions about surgical correction alternatives,  she also has experience as a consultant for LASIK laser vision correction through TLC in Indianapolis. Carla enjoys administering the "pre-tests" for annual exams and helps with specific medical challenges such as testing patients who have glaucoma.  She is also a favorite in our Optique, where she fits many patients with those perfect spectacles each day!  Carla is married with two children.

Joanna Nix, AOT

Joanna is our Optical expert!  When she's not helping patients with their new eyeglasses, she's attending to frame repairs or working hard to make sure our optical offers the very best in fashion and function.  Also skilled as an optometric assistant,  Joanna has completed special paraoptometric coursework through Indiana University and holds the title of  Optometric Advanced Assistant.  She also has a bachelor's degree in social work from Indiana University and her professional care skills  are evident in her every contact.  Joanna is married with two children.
