Services
New Services:
As of Fall 2012:
We began to offer Anterior Segment Imaging which provides high-resolution video and still photography of various eye diseases. This provides better documentation and evaluation of treatment outcomes in Dry Eye Syndrome and oher ocular conditions.
As of Spring 2012:
We began to offer Care Credit as a payment option to our patients. Those who qualify for this plan receive 6 months of interest-free financing. More information on Care Credit can be found at their website. We're proud to be an optical care provider in this program that helps our patients get the glasses and contact lenses that they need in a way that fits their budget.
As of Fall 2011:
We began VEP (Visual Evoked Potential) Testing with the Diopsys® Nova System. This technology helps Dr. Roark determine how your eyes communicate with your brain. We're excited to be the first optometric practice in Indiana to offer this amazing testing opportunity! Take a look at the link below and also the VEP Testing tab (to the left) to learn more.

Dr. Roark also began to recommend Dry Eye Omega Benefits® for his dry eye patients. For the convenience of our patients, this product is available in our office. This pharmaceutical-grade fish oil offers higher concentrations of the anti-inflammatory Omega-3 in triglyceride form, working from within your body to help address and alleviate the irritation and discomfort of Dry Eye Syndrome.

As of Summer 2011:
We began to offer Macula Risk® genetic screening that determines your risk level for Macular Degeneration. Especially beneficial for those who have this disease in their family history, the test is performed with a simple cheek swab and is typically covered by insurance. In the past, this disease was diagnosed and treated after the patient had lost vision in one eye. The results from this test are highly accurate, so Dr. Roark can provide you with preventive care before the loss of sight can occur.

We also began checking intraocular pressures with the new I-Care® Tonometer, a simple hand tool that is great for children or any adult who may be inhibited by the traditional “puff of air” test. The test is quick and painless, allowing you to relax while your pressures are checked!
